FEMALE FARMER RADIO

TALKSHOW – ENGLISH SPOKEN

Who run the world? Right! Female farmers make up about 50% of the small farmers worldwide. In this talkshow, hosted by Ikenna Azuike, we talk to two of these farmers and entrepreneurs from Africa.
How do the farmers deal with the changing environment, destroyed crops due to droughts and heavy rainfall worldwide and how can we strengthen them in their position? These questions are central to the program with female farmers. We will talk to Mary from Tanzania and Evelynn from Nigeria. The two women give an insight into their daily practice and we will discuss how our choices here influence their practice over there.
Nice to know: Both Mary and Evelynn won a price for ‘best farmer of the country’. Which proves these ladies know their stuff when it comes to agriculture.
At the end of this talkshow we will reflect with Tjeerd de Groot (D66) who is responsible for Agriculture; Fishing; Nature; Animal welfare and Food (production).
